Conditions We Treat

Dr. Brumbaugh treats a wide variety of conditions with chiropractic care. Be sure to make an appointment if you are suffering from any of these conditions:

Headaches and Migraine headaches
Chiropractic offers a safe, effective, and drug free approach to treating headaches of many different causes. Typical tension headaches originate from tight or hypertonic musculature located in the neck and upper back. Long periods of sitting at a desk at work, or increased stress are common causes of these frequent headaches.
Migraine headaches are often described as intense, effecting one side of the head, include sensitivity to light and or nausea, and are more common in younger women. Recent studies indicate chiropractic care as a viable treatment option and preventative option for care for migraine headaches.

The sciatic nerve is the largest and longest nerve in the body, and extends from the low back down the hip and into the lower leg and foot. Compression of the nerve originating in the lower back, known as the lumbar spine, can cause numbness, tingling, and or weakness in the low back and leg. Chiropractic care can help to identify the cause of these symptoms, and treat accordingly to help relieve the pain associated with sciatica. Common causes of sciatica are disc bulges and herniations, and degenerative arthritis, both of which are treatable with chiropractic care.

Car accidents
Motor vehicle and other accidents often cause a myriad of issues, those most concerning of those physical in nature. Whiplash is a common result of even the most minor of motor vehicle accidents. Whiplash is a common term used to describe a strain/sprain injury of the muscles and tendons in the neck following rapid forward and backward or side to side motion of the head, common in car accidents. Resultant pain can be as simple as dull ache in the neck and shoulders or as intense as burning tingling pain into the arm and hands. Injuries following a car accident are commonly treated with chiropractic care.
